Can I become a certified life coach from home?

Yes. Roux Life Coach Academy is online and self-paced. Complete the curriculum, required activities, and assessments from home to earn your private Roux Life Certified Coach certificate. The Academy brings your learning, practice, and progress together online.

How long does life coach certification take?

The curriculum totals 40 hours. At four hours a week, that is approximately ten weeks of study. This is a planning estimate, not a completion deadline. Your practice, activities, and assessment time may vary, and you set your pace.

What is Lauren, the Smart Coach Simulator?

Lauren is a virtual practice client in the Smart Coach Simulator. You practice realistic coaching conversations, listen to a client’s story, and work on your questioning and reflection skills. Live simulator practice takes place inside the Academy. The sample exercise on this page is an introduction to the approach.

Can I learn on my phone or laptop?

Yes. You can access your online learning from a laptop or phone with an internet connection. For focused simulator practice, choose a quiet space and a device with the audio permissions your session requires.

Will I learn how to start a coaching business?

The Academy includes business-building education and resources alongside coaching skills. Optional website and coaching-platform services are separate. Graduate opportunities may be available subject to approval. Certification does not guarantee employment, clients, or income.

Is Roux Life certification an ICF credential?

No. Your certificate is issued by Roux Life Coach Academy as a private life coaching certification. An ICF credential is a separate pathway with its own education, experience, mentoring, evaluation, and examination requirements. This program does not confer a mental health professional license.

How do I earn my certificate?

Complete all required lessons and activities, meet the 80% lesson assessment requirement, and pass the final examination with at least 80%. The final examination allows unlimited retakes. Your certificate is awarded by Roux Life Coach Academy when the requirements are met.

What does the $1,295 tuition include?

One-time tuition includes the 40-hour online curriculum, workbooks and required learning activities, assessments, Smart Coach Simulator practice, business-building education, lifetime curriculum access and updates, and certification upon completion.
